Save the Date - Columbia Connects 2016 and 1st Annual CAAC BBQ!

After a scorching hot summer in the Carolinas, we seem to have cooled down a bit over the Labor Day weekend – hopefully fall is not too far away?!  The kids are back in school, football season is starting, and that means it is time for our annual Columbia Connects event, which this year coincides with our First Annual CAAC BBQ!

SAVE THE DATE:
Columbia Connects 2016
First Annual CAAC End-of-Summer BBQ
DATE:  October 9, 2016
TIME:  4 - 8 pm
LOCATION:  Steve Jegier's house!

Our president Steve Jegier will be our host, personally smoking up BBQ (apple wood for pulled pork and hickory for the brisket) to be served with home-made baked beans, cole slaw and sweet iced tea. (OK, the sweet tea will probably come from Bojangles but the rest of the food will be authentically home cooked!) And never fear, we'll have vegetarian-friendly options available as well.

Enjoy a relaxed day of connecting with fellow Columbia alumni. Feel free to bring the whole family too. There will be lots of outdoor things to do – swimming pool, cornhole, etc., as well as indoor fun – darts, billiards, foosball, chess tables, and so on.  Plus, we will have “party games” throughout the evening.

Best of all, this event is entirely FREE for members (though we will be asking for donations to the club if you are so inclined).  Sign-ups will begin September 19th – mark your calendars now!  And if you're not yet a member, sign up here today.

See you soon!!
